Born in 1979 in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. Traveled to the UK in 2003 and gained experience in numerous design offices. Graduated from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in 2007. Worked as a product designer at MUJI after returning to Japan in 2008, and then founded YOTA KAKUDA DESIGN in 2011. Has produced numerous designs domestically and abroad.
